If the man who shot the Jacksonville Jaguars, Richard Collier offensive line was the hope that the 14 bullets that hit him in the fog that its report that were wrong. In a recent interview, Collier, says he remembers everything from that night, being in front of the apartment building to be taken to hospital by ambulance. This is bad news for the alleged murderer Romaroo Tyrone Hartsfield, who recently appeared for a pretrial hearing. During the hearing, counsel submitted Hartsfield a proposal for the direction of Collier and other witnesses. The result was that there will be another pretrial hearing in December. Hartsfield has been charged with attempted murder as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Thus far, Hartsfield has pleaded not guilty to the Sept. 2 shooting that left Collier paralyzed from the waist down and without a leg.

In the same interview with Collier said about remaining positive about their current situation, which obviously has ended his football career. Collier was a senior in high school and attended Tyler Junior College after graduation. From there, moved to Valdosta State for two years, where he was honorable mention All-American her senior year. He joined the Jaguars as a free agent in 2006. Played in four games his first year, making most of his appearances on special teams. He returned to action in four games in 2007, both on special teams and offense.

The incident occurred on 2 September 2008. Collier was in a car with former teammate Kenny Pettway, who is now in the list of Packers Green Bay. The two men were waiting outside an apartment building when a man approached and fired on the vehicle. Pettway was not injured during the shooting. The motivation behind the shooting was apparently an altercation with Collier Hartsfield at a nightclub in April. The Jaguars tried to recover from the loss of Collier but like the Washington Redskins knows, it could be worse. Their free safety, Sean Taylor was fatally shot during a home invasion on 26 November 2007.

But Collier, the Jaguars have had an up and down season. As of week 13, which are 4-8, after covering the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions. Three of his four victories came before their bye week during week seven. The last few games, the Jaguars have struggled, dropping games to the Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings and Texans. The Jaguars finished their season with games against the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Colts Ravens. The Colts only have improved this season, so the Jags can not expect a game similar to his victory earlier this season. When they play the Packers, not have to go against former Jaguar Pettway as he was recently placed on injured reserve.
