Carpet Floor Tile

Do you prefer wood flooring, tile or carpet in a main living area?

Please let me know what state or part of the country you’re in.
I’m asking because it was suggested to me that when I replace my carpet, I should consider wood flooring because it will be helpful when I decide to sell my home. I like carpet! Opinions and advice appreciated.

I like carpet because it’s soft and plush to sit on in the living room. However, you could always put wood floors down and then get a nice big rug. Or if you have an open plan living area, put carpet down in the area where your couch and tv are, and wood or tile in the kitchen/other areas. You could always call a realtor in your area, they’ll be able to tell you what people who are looking for houses in your price range expect for flooring.
