World Series Program
Franchitti to compete in the 2008 National Series
Dario Franchitti will compete in the National Series 2008. The information was announced recently by the Chip Ganassi Racing. The movement is said to be an effort to follow the footsteps of team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya Franchitti in his full season in NASCAR. To note the current Busch Series is replaced by the Nationwide Series next season.

We have an exciting start of the National Series of Service next season with the No.40 team that will help acclimate Dario to the races Stock cars as much as we did with Juan Pablo [Montoya] last season, "said the head of Franchitti, Chip Ganassi.
Earlier this year, Franchitti was announced as the driver of the No. 40 Dodge in the Sprint Cup Series 2008 to serve as a substitute for David Stremme. The Scot will be the first European pilot in history 59 years of NASCAR to join the series full time. He will start the season in February at Daytona.

Fastenal, a leader in industrial and materials for construction, has been named as the sponsor for Franchitti's car in the series, after signing a multiyear contract with Chip Ganassi Racing, said AutoSport.
In addition, the company will also present a series of races as the sponsor of the No. 41 Ganassi car racer Reed Sorenson's Cup Sprint. The sponsors of the IRL Indy Car Series and Indy 500 champion has not yet been reported.

The company's program will feature Franchitti as the main driver of the car and also include select races with his CGRFS Nascar Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) teammate Reed Sorenson behind the wheel.

It was reported that the company is increasing CGRFS and the Nationwide Series after two seasons in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as the primary sponsor of Bobby Hamilton Racing No. 18 Dodge truck.
